Raising two sons on the spectrum, have definitely worked through the variety of handwriting options, and the one that offered the wisest choice: Getty-Dubay Italic. We did do the Handwriting without Tears, however this program lost our children when it came to decoding cursive. The Getty-Dubay program encourages both comprehensions. Our sons are also hyperlexic, type 2, so needing to have clear written communication for both became even more critical.
